It is located a few kilometers east of Esentepe and offers travelers the extraordinary beauty of untouched nature: a spacious bay with clean sand, clear water, and a gentle slope into the sea. Because there are practically no big waves here, swimming becomes a real pleasure.

Walking along the shore, you can see how the sandy coast changes to impressive stone layers. Despite its remoteness, this beach is rarely empty — guests of the nearby Kaplıca hotel almost always relax here.

Kaplıca Beach Infrastructure

Despite its quietness and remoteness, the beach is equipped with all necessary amenities: toilets, showers, and changing cabins. Umbrellas and sunbeds can be rented for an additional fee.

For the little ones, there is a playground nearby with swings and slides where they can play while parents enjoy the sun.

The sandy shore here features soft golden sand and clean blue water, so you won’t need special footwear.

Entertainment at Kaplıca Beach

Available activities include snorkeling, boat rides, surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, water skiing, yachting, and even paragliding (from April to October). The diving season lasts from April to December.

Fishing enthusiasts will also find a spot: near the bay, there is a small fishing port where the catch is said to be more than decent.

Prefer to explore the surroundings on your own? You can walk or bike along the coast. If you're lucky, you might see sea turtles nesting in the area.

The best time to visit this place is from late May to early November, when the water temperature from June to October stays around 25 °C.

In summer, from June to September, the temperature often reaches 30-35 degrees. Despite the heat, the sea breeze makes it more comfortable. With water temperatures around 25-27 degrees, this is the ideal time for beach relaxation.

Autumn, from October to late December, offers comfortable 20-25 degrees. For some, the water will be warm enough for swimming, as the sea heated during the summer months retains warmth for quite a while.

What to See Around Kaplıca Beach

Nearby, you can visit the ruins of an ancient temple visible from the beach and explore necropolises carved into the rocks. Just 10 km away is the Kantara Castle, an ancient Byzantine fortress built to defend against Arab attacks. A must-visit place for history lovers.

The greatest bonus of visiting this place is the stunning view from the height of 630 meters. On a clear day, you can even see the shores of Lebanon and clouds located 150 km away.

Another attraction is the Cypriot model museum «Miniya Kibris», which was opened on July 21, 2015, in Tatlısu. The museum is located on the site of the ancient church of Panagia Pergaminiotissa, dating back to the 11th-12th centuries. After many years of neglect, the church was restored in 2009.
