General Scheme for Obtaining a Title via a Lawyer

If you are outside Northern Cyprus, you can obtain a property title remotely through a lawyer. The service costs approximately £400. The lawyer submits the application on your behalf and oversees the process at all stages.

Required Documents

The following documents are required to submit an application:

  1. Certificate of No Criminal Record from your country of citizenship with an official stamp. Validity — 6 months.
  2. Translated certificate into Turkish or English, notarized.
  3. Power of Attorney issued to the lawyer. It is recommended to arrange it through a consular service.
  4. Questionnaire with personal information and property details.
  5. Scanned purchase agreement with attachments.
Application Submission and Payment

The lawyer submits the title application through the lawyer’s office. The submission fee is 17,000 lira, payable by card on the Northern Cyprus Ministry of Interior website.

Timeline and Recommendations

Before the new law, the average waiting time was 12–24 months. Currently, timelines may increase. It is recommended to submit documents through a lawyer, as this speeds up processing and reduces the risk of errors in documentation.

Obtaining a title via a lawyer ensures legal security and accelerates the process of receiving the property document.
