On May 6th, Northern Cyprus is expecting cooling with showers and thunderstorms
According to the Department of Meteorology of the TRNC, on Monday, May 6th, the region will be affected by low pressure and cool, moist air in the upper atmosphere. Meteorologists promise variable cloudiness with showers and thunderstorms.
Especially heavy precipitation is forecasted for the central part of the country and the vicinity of Famagusta.
The air temperature will drop by 3-5 degrees below seasonal climatic norms. In some regions, it will cool down to 21°C, with the maximum temperature reaching around 27°C.
Two weather warnings are in effect for Northern Cyprus. There is a high probability of forest fires and a moderate level of ultraviolet radiation in the country.
One should not stay under the sun for more than 20 minutes, especially from 11:00 to 16:00, without taking necessary precautionary measures.
Additionally, Northern Cyprus is once again covered in dust. It is expected that fine particles will linger in the atmosphere until tomorrow evening.

Western coast: Lefke – 24°C, Guzelyurt – 26°C.

Eastern coast: Famagusta – 25°C, Iskele – 25°C.
Karpas: Yenierenkoy – 25°C.
