Concrete mixer fell into a ravine on the Gecitkale - Tatlısu highway: the driver died
Another fatal accident occurred in the TRNC. The driver died when the concrete mixer fell into a deep ravine.
According to the police press service, the accident happened yesterday in the afternoon, around 16:00, between the 15th and 16th kilometers of the main road Gecitkale - Tatlısu.
During a sharp right turn, the 58-year-old truck driver with the loaded concrete mixer lost control of the heavy concrete machine. As a result, the truck veered off to the left side of the road, collided with steel barriers, overturned, and rolled into the stream bed about 15 meters deep.
The truck driver, Erdjan Inik, died at the scene of the incident when the truck fell into the ravine.
The police are investigating the causes of the fatal accident. The investigation continues.
