A maximum ticket price has been set for regular flights between Ercan Airport and major cities in Turkey

Yesterday, a protocol was signed with Turkish Airlines and its budget subsidiary AJet to simplify and reduce the cost of flights to the region.
The ceremony took place at the presidential residence in Lefkosa with the participation of the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ersin Tatar and other high-ranking officials. The document was signed by Prime Minister Ünal Üstel and Chairman of the Board of Turkish Airlines Ahmet Bolat.
According to the agreements, AJet will launch regular flights between Erjan Airport and major cities in Turkey. The goal is to make air travel more accessible, reduce ticket prices, and stimulate tourist inflow. The maximum ticket price on these flights will be 6000 Turkish lira (approximately 150 US dollars).
Also, after a promotional event held on July 26 in London, a special price was set for flights between London Stansted Airport and Erjan — 250 euros (about 293 US dollars) for a round-trip ticket.
TRNC President Ersin Tatar expressed confidence that this step will positively impact tourism by increasing the sector’s competitiveness.
