Former Governor of Kyrenia Appointed Head of the TRNC Meteorology Department
The former governor of Kyrenia has become the new director of the Meteorology Department at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport. Sinan Günesh served as the head of the Kyrenia district for five years, from 2018 to April 28, 2023.
The decision on his appointment has been published in the "Official Gazette."
After completing his term as the district governor in May 2023, Sinan Günesh was appointed as an advisor on local government matters to the President of the TRNC, and he continues to hold this position.
Recall that the previous director of the TRNC Meteorology Department, Raif Ilker Buran, was relieved of his position in mid-November. The reason for his dismissal was reports of an impending drought next summer.
