The Number of Passengers at Ercan Airport Increases by Nearly a Quarter
The number of passengers passing through Ercan Airport has surged by 24.7% compared to last year, with the number of flights also seeing a 14.28% increase.
According to T&T Airport Management, which operates the airport, 2,457,097 passengers used the old Ercan Airport during the first eight months of 2023. With the opening of the new terminal, the number of passengers has risen to 3,048,615 over the same period in 2024.
In terms of aircraft movements, 19,305 planes have taken off and landed at Ercan Airport so far this year, compared to 16,892 in the same period last year.
