Number of tourists in Cyprus in September increased by 12% to 570,635
According to the Statistical Service, in September 2025 the number of tourists visiting Cyprus amounted to 570,635 people, which is 12% higher compared to September 2024 (509,000).
The newspaper Politis notes that the share of tourists from the United Kingdom in September was 31.4% (179,293 people), the highest among source countries.
Next by countries are: Israel — 14%, Poland — 7.9%, Germany — 6.0%, Sweden — 3.6%, Romania — 3.1%, Greece — 3.0%.
According to the publication, 84.8% of arrivals in September indicated the purpose of their visit as leisure; 10.1% — visiting friends or relatives; 5% — business or professional trips.
For the period January–September 2025, the number of tourists visiting Cyprus reached 3,604,790 compared to 3,268,000 for the same period in 2024, an increase of 336,790 people.
