EMU Gastronomy students brought back 3 trophies and 22 medals from Antalya

Students of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts program at the Faculty of Tourism of EMU successfully performed at the 6th international gastronomy event GastroAntalya in Antalya. Following the three-day competitions, the team returned with 3 trophies and 22 medals.
The event brought together representatives from 42 countries — a total of 856 chefs and 1,292 participants — and featured not only competitions, but also master classes, panels, and seminars.
Among the awards were victories in both individual and team categories: EMU instructor Fatma Öztunç received one of the most prestigious titles of the competition, “Yılın Altın Türk Şefi” (Golden Turkish Chef of the Year), while the EMU student team won gold in the university team category for modern Turkish cuisine.
