Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) has become a corporate partner of the world’s largest aviation, space and technology festival, TEKNOFEST 2026, which will take place from September 30 to October 4, 2026, at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport in Turkey.

According to the university, applications for the technology competitions will be accepted until February 20, 2026. As part of the festival, competitions will be held in 52 main categories and 127 subcategories — ranging from aviation and space to artificial intelligence, the defense industry, agrotechnologies and sustainable development.

EMU Rector Professor Hasan Kılıç emphasized that student participation in such national and international initiatives is highly important for their professional growth. According to him, TEKNOFEST provides young people with a unique platform to implement innovative ideas and turn them into real projects.

The university noted that supporting such events aligns with EMU’s strategy to train research-oriented and entrepreneurially minded specialists.
