The children's national team of the TRNC in fitness has returned from the European Championship in Slovakia with five gold medals
The European Championship took place in Kosice, Slovakia, from June 15 to 16. According to the Federation of Weightlifting and Bodybuilding of the TRNC for Children and Youth Fitness, athletes from Northern Cyprus competed in children's fitness, acro-fitness, and fitness dance against teams from various European countries.
At the conclusion of the competition, five young Turkish Cypriot athletes secured gold medals in different disciplines. Additionally, the TRNC team achieved two silver medals and one bronze. Two other athletes came close to winning medals, finishing in fourth place.
It was also highlighted that Neval Chelebioglu Akgurgun, an international judge and the head coach of fitness in the TRNC, had a successful participation at the IBFF European Championship.
"The name of our country was announced five times at the European Championship in association with championship titles. Our athletes made Europe listen to our national anthem numerous times. They have truly made us proud," stated the Federation.
