The road from Dipkarpaz to the Monastery of Apostle Andrew is closed from 14:00 to 20:00 due to asphalting works
The Directorate of Highways announced that the section of the road between Dipkarpaz (Karpas) and the Monastery of Apostle Andrew will be closed to traffic daily from 14:00 to 20:00 due to asphalt paving works. The restriction takes effect today and will remain in place until further official notice, as announced on August 25, 2025.
The statement notes that the road will be open outside the specified hours and on weekends. Drivers are asked to exercise caution, reduce speed, and follow traffic signs and the instructions of workers when passing near construction zones.

For residents and tourists, this means possible delays when planning trips to the Karpas Peninsula and nearby villages during the daytime. Whenever possible, it is recommended to plan routes outside the closure hours or choose alternative detours. According to the Directorate, additional notices will be issued if the work schedule changes.
