Traffic accident on the Girne–Tatlısu highway: car overturned, driver hospitalized
According to police, the accident occurred yesterday around 12:00 at the 17–18 kilometer point of the Girne–Tatlısu road.
The 34-year-old driver of vehicle LJ 328, traveling toward Tatlısu, was inattentive and collided at an intersection with vehicle SM 147, driven by a 55-year-old man who was turning right onto an unnamed street at the time.
As a result of the impact, vehicle LJ 328 left the roadway, overturned, and came to rest on its wheels.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the overturned vehicle was injured and transported to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia. He was diagnosed with fractured ribs and is under observation in the cardiovascular surgery department.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
