Two fires occurred in TRNC in a single day
Two fires occurred in Nicosia and on the Güzelyurt–Alayköy road in a single day, resulting in damage to vehicles.
According to the police, a car with registration ER 251, driven by Mahmut Rubiul Alam, caught fire in Nicosia. A short circuit in the engine's electrical system occurred while driving, after which the car burst into flames.
On the same day, a fire broke out at a recycling company's warehouse on the Güzelyurt–Alayköy road. A telehandler parked inside the warehouse caught fire. The cause was also a short circuit in the electrical system at the rear of the machinery.
Both fires were extinguished by firefighters, but the vehicles sustained damage.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the incidents.
