Another Young Man Dies from Electric Shock in a Kyrenia Hotel
A tragic accident occurred in Kyrenia: a young man died from an electric shock in one of the hotels. One suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident.
The tragedy happened yesterday around 9:00 PM. A 29-year-old hotel employee, Lahiru Priyadarshana Perera Kumbukage, tried to connect a washing machine cable without a plug to an extension cord. At that moment, he was electrocuted and died at the scene.
As part of the investigation, the police arrested a 56-year-old man who has been charged with causing death by negligence.
It's worth noting that a similar tragedy occurred last week at the Acapulco Hotel in Çatalköy: a 19-year-old young man died from an electric shock while repairing a faulty LED screen on stage.
