Another Turkish Airline Launches Antalya - Ercan Flights
Sun Express, a Turkish airline, has commenced flights from Antalya to Ercan. Ticket prices to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) start at 40 euros.
The Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment of the TRNC, Fikri Ataoglu, announced the start of passenger air transport to Northern Cyprus. The inaugural flights departed from the Turkish resort to Northern Cyprus at the end of last week.
Minister Ataoglu welcomed Sun Express's initiation of flights from Antalya to Ercan, highlighting that "competition always enhances service quality and reduces airfares, providing more options." These additional flights also promote tourism and offer opportunities for both Turkish citizens residing in Antalya and foreign tourists traveling to Northern Cyprus via connections from the Turkish resort.
"I extend thanks to Sun Express on behalf of the people of the TRNC for launching flights from Antalya to Ercan. We eagerly await visitors to our country," stated Minister Ataoglu.
SunExpress, headquartered in Antalya, Turkey, operates scheduled and charter flights throughout Europe and Turkey, with its main hub at Antalya Airport.
According to information from the airline's website, ticket prices to Northern Cyprus start at 40 euros.
