Lefke Football Club Wins the Cyprus Cup!
Lefke Turkish Sports Club has been crowned champions of the Daikin Cyprus Cup after a strong 3–1 victory over Mağusa Türk Gücü (MTG) in the final.
This triumph is especially significant for the club, marking their first major trophy in 11 years.
The Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ünal Üstel, was quick to congratulate the team on their success.
“I sincerely congratulate Lefke Turkish Sports Club on this great achievement—winning the Daikin Cyprus Cup. My compliments go to the players, the coaching staff, the management, and the passionate Lefke supporters. I also want to recognize Mağusa Türk Gücü for their contribution to the tournament and the fighting spirit they showed in the final. Thank you for your dedication to our sport,” the Prime Minister said in a statement.
Earlier, Mağusa Türk Gücü had made headlines by winning the 2024–2025 AKSA Football Super League, securing the title for a sixth consecutive season after an impressive 8–3 win over Larnaka Gençler Birliği.
