The Head of Northern Cyprus spoke with the President of Turkey
The President of the TRNC, Ersin Tatar, spoke with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The phone call took place between the leaders of the two countries on the first anniversary of the earthquake on February 6th.
According to the press service of the TRNC leader, during the negotiations, condolences were expressed for those who died as a result of the earthquake.
The Turkish leader once again expressed his condolences for the death of TRNC citizens, including "Angel Champions," and wished the mercy of God to all who died in the earthquake, and patience to their families.
The Head of Northern Cyprus provided the President of Turkey with information about the commemoration ceremonies of the earthquake martyrs held the day before in the TRNC and noted that the country will always remember those who died as a result of the tragedy.
In the phone conversation, the presidents of the two countries also congratulated each other on the Muslim holiday of Mawlid al-Nabi, which was celebrated in the Islamic world the night before, and wished that this night would be beneficial for Turkey and Turkish Cypriots.
