Citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) are being evacuated from the Gaza Strip to Egypt
On the past Sunday, 87 people, including Turks, citizens of the TRNC, and their relatives, arrived in Egypt through the Rafah border gates.
This was reported by the spokesperson of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Onchu Kecheli.
"Today (November 19), a total of 87 people, including our citizens - citizens of the TRNC and their relatives, passed through the Rafah border gates and reached Egypt," the statement said.
It is known that the evacuated group from Gaza will be transported to Cairo, and today, Turkish and TRNC citizens are planned to be flown to Turkey.
In addition, in collaboration with relevant medical institutions, around 60 patients and their 40 accompanying individuals are planned to be brought to Turkey for treatment today.
Recall that earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the TRNC expressed readiness for the safe evacuation of citizens wishing to leave the region due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.
Approximately 150 citizens of the TRNC have expressed their desire to be evacuated.
