Imported Potatoes Now Available in TRNC Stores for 32 TL
Imported potatoes from Turkey are now available in TRNC stores. You can purchase them at local markets for 32 TL per kilogram, or at the Soil Products Institute (TÜK) in 10 or 25-kilogram bags for 26 TL per kilogram.
According to a statement from TÜK, the institution received approval from the Council of Ministers to import table potatoes from Turkey.
The imported table potatoes are available at TÜK branches in Famagusta, Komaşo, İskele, Geçitkale, Akdoğan, and Nicosia (near the Ministry of Agriculture), as well as at TÜK branches in Guzelyurt. They are sold in 10 or 25-kilogram bags at a price of 26 TL per kilogram. At local markets, the retail price is 32 TL per kilogram.
Earlier this week, the first 100 tons of potatoes imported from Turkey arrived in Northern Cyprus. The product has successfully passed all preliminary inspections.
