Out of the total number of accidents, 20 resulted in injuries, while 43 caused only material damage. The total damage from the accidents is estimated at approximately 6.2 million Turkish lira.
The main cause of the incidents was once again speed: exceeding the установлен limits was recorded in 19 accidents. At the same time, traffic police conducted large-scale checks: during the week, 19,362 drivers were stopped, and violations were found among 3,533 of them. 428 vehicles were taken off the road, and 11 drivers were detained. The most common violations were speeding, driving without a valid seyrüsefer, not wearing a seatbelt, driving without a technical inspection and insurance, as well as driving under the influence. The police remind that speed and inattention remain the main causes of fatal accidents and urge drivers to strictly follow the rules.
