KIB-TEK to Cut Power for Debtors Tomorrow
The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) has announced that electricity will be disconnected for overdue accounts starting Tuesday, January 7. This action targets persistent non-payers and is part of the organization’s effort to recover outstanding debts.
According to the statement, electricity will be cut off for all individuals and businesses with unpaid bills from December 2024 or earlier, provided their outstanding amount exceeds 675 TL.
Furthermore, private and corporate subscribers with overdue payments on installment plans—set up under legal agreements with KIB-TEK—will also face disconnection on the same day.
To avoid service interruptions, all subscribers are strongly encouraged to settle their debts as soon as possible.
