Kıb-Tek to Cut Off Power for Debtors Starting Tomorrow
The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) has issued a warning to debtors about upcoming power outages. According to the utility provider, electricity will be cut off for those with outstanding bills starting tomorrow, March 5.
In a statement, KIB-TEK explained that as part of its debt collection process, power will be disconnected on Wednesday, March 5, for all individuals and businesses whose payment deadlines passed in January 2025 or earlier, and whose outstanding balance exceeds 675 TL.
Additionally, power will also be cut off for all private and business customers with unpaid debts on accounts that were arranged for installment payments under legal agreements with the authority.
To avoid service interruptions, customers are encouraged to settle their outstanding bills.
