Red Crescent to Host Charity Iftar Dinners in Nicosia During Ramadan
Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, the Cyprus Red Crescent will be hosting iftar dinners at Kugulu Park in Nicosia. Meals will be prepared in collaboration with the Turkish Red Crescent using a mobile kitchen and distributed to those in need.
According to the Turkish Cypriot Red Crescent, humanitarian aid—including food packages, clothing, shoes, and other essential items donated by the Turkish Red Crescent—will be distributed through local branches and civil society organizations to support those in need.
Donors who wish to contribute to the Red Crescent Ramadan Table can contact the organization’s headquarters at +90 (392) 227 24 25.
Additionally, those who would like to donate fitr, zakat, or food packages can do so online by sending an SMS to 4142 via KKTCELL or Telsim GSM operators, or through the website www.kktkizilayi.org using the 3D Secure system.
Earlier, it was reported that the Turkish Red Crescent donated three truckloads of humanitarian aid to the Turkish Cypriot Red Crescent.
For reference, in 2025, Ramadan began on February 28 and will end on March 29. The first suhoor took place on the night of February 28 to March 1, followed by the first iftar that evening. The Night of Power (Laylat al-Qadr) will be observed on March 26, and after fasting concludes, Muslims worldwide will celebrate Eid al-Fitr (Uraza Bayramı) on Sunday, March 30.
