Cosmetics theft at a supermarket in Demirhan
In Demirhan, police detained a 22-year-old woman suspected of stealing cosmetic products from a supermarket.
The incident occurred on January 31, when the woman entered the store posing as an ordinary customer.
According to police, while inside the sales area, she selected various cosmetic items with a total value of 2,967.44 Turkish lira and then left the store without paying at the checkout.
The supermarket staff reported the missing products. After reviewing CCTV footage and conducting checks, the suspect’s identity was established.
Soon after, the woman was located and detained by police officers.
The stolen goods were seized as material evidence.
An investigation into the theft is underway, with police determining whether she acted alone and whether she had similar incidents in the past.
