KTAMS Suspends Planned Strike
The Cyprus Turkish Public Servants’ Union (KTAMS) has announced the suspension of the protest action scheduled for February 17.
In a written statement, the organization indicated that the decision was made following the payment of salaries to employees of the Committee on Missing Persons (CMP). The funds were transferred before the end of the working day.
"Due to the fact that payments to the employees of the Committee on Missing Persons were made by the end of the working day today, the strike planned for tomorrow (February 17) has been suspended," the union's statement reads.
Previously, the union had declared its intention to hold the action in support of workers who had not received their wages on time.
