Turkish Minister of National Defense Arrives in TRNC
The Turkish Minister of National Defense, Yaşar Güler, has arrived in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) along with the Armed Forces Command to participate in events commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation.
According to a statement from the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, during the trip, Yaşar Güler will also meet for the first time with the TRNC's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu.
Accompanying the Minister of National Defense on his visit to Northern Cyprus are Chief of the General Staff General Metin Gürak, President of the Defense Industry Agency Haluk Görgün, Commander of the Navy Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, Commander of the Land Forces General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, and Commander of the Air Force General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu.
Previously, it was reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş, members of the cabinet, political party representatives, and parliament deputies would also attend the ceremonial events in Northern Cyprus.
