On October 17, the Health Ministers of the TRNC and Turkey inspected the construction site of the Karpas State Hospital in Pamuklu, Northern Cyprus. The field visit was attended by the Minister of Health Dr. Hakan Dinçyürek and the Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu.

Memişoğlu noted the rapid pace of construction and stated that a modern and comprehensive hospital will soon serve the region, providing care and saving lives. Dinçyürek reported on the progress: foundation piling began last week, and more than 150 piles have already been installed. The goal is to complete 450 piles on schedule and continue with the main building structure.

Dinçyürek expressed gratitude to all project contributors, including the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his team. During the visit, the ministers discussed bilateral investments in healthcare and coordination of the next stages of construction.

For local residents, the project’s completion will mean access to new medical services in their area; meanwhile, ongoing works will determine the hospital’s commissioning timeline.
