Lefkoşa Municipality to continue public health programs in 2026

The Dikmen (Lefkoşa) Municipality announced that it will continue the work of its Public Health Service in 2026, targeting a wide range of residents — from elderly people and bedridden patients to children and youth.
As part of the program, residents aged 65 and over, as well as people with chronic illnesses, will receive home nursing care. Home physiotherapy services are предусмотрены for residents with limited mobility and bedridden patients.
The municipality will also continue to provide psychological support to elderly people experiencing age-related emotional difficulties, as well as psychological counseling for children and adolescents suffering from exam anxiety.
Free hairdressing services will remain available for women aged 65 and over. In addition, a special New Year’s lunch will be organized for elderly residents so that the holiday is not spent alone.
Starting from January 1, the municipality will begin celebrating birthdays of residents aged 60+.
