A man set fire to grass on his property and burned down his neighbor's crops
A fire broke out between the villages of Mormenekşe and Mutluyaka, destroying everything over an area of 5 acres.
The fire started because a local resident decided to clear his land by setting fire to dry vegetation in 7 different spots in his yard, without permission from the authorities and without taking the necessary safety measures.
As a result of the fire, uncut barley and dry grass planted on a 5-acre plot belonging to another person were destroyed.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
According to the police, a criminal case has been opened against the individual in question.
We remind you that you should not burn grass on your own without taking the necessary safety precautions.
