Ministry of Interior announces start of applications for social housing in the Güzelyurt region

The Ministry of Interior has announced the start of applications for social housing in the Güzelyurt region. Applications can be submitted from today until July 31, 2025. Only TRNC citizens who meet the specified criteria may apply.

Application forms can be collected and submitted in person at the Güzelyurt District Administration. Forms must be fully completed and accompanied by all required documents. Incomplete applications will not be considered. The applicant’s signature is mandatory. Only residents of the neighborhoods Piyale Pasha, Lala Mustafa Pasha, and Ismet Pasha may participate in the first selection phase.

Main eligibility criteria:

1. TRNC citizenship.

2. Age 22 or older, or married if younger.

3. Permanent residency in the TRNC for the past 10 years (some periods abroad are permitted).

4. No habitable property ownership and income not exceeding 4 minimum wages.

5. No property transfers in the past 3 years (except in forced cases).

6. No existing home under installment or agreement.

7. Ability to pay 20% of the property cost and obtain a loan for the remaining amount.

8. No land or housing received under current or repealed social housing laws.

9. Residence or family ties to the application district.

10. No property ownership by the applicant, spouse, or children.

11. No more than 35 acres of unused land owned.

12. Priority is given to applicants with dependent children.
