Preparations for the celebration of Eid al-Fitr have been completed at the bazaar in Kyrenia
Preparations for the Eid al-Fitr celebration continue in Kyrenia. The city streets have been updated with new lighting.
As Kyrenia Mayor Murat Shengul shared on his social media page, thanks to the work of electricians associated with the Department of Public Works, the lighting on Ziya Ryzki, Ataturk, and Kanbulat streets in the city has been renewed. Local market traders have also prepared for the celebration.
"The bazaar is ready for the holiday. We wish our traders good sales," the mayor wrote.
Eid al-Fitr, also known as the Feast of Breaking the Fast, is one of the main days for Muslims, celebrated to mark the end of fasting in the month of Ramadan. This year, it falls on April 10th to April 11th. In Northern Cyprus, this year, the holiday has been extended to 9 days.
