Elderly Man Dies on Bafra Beach
An elderly man died on a beach in Bafra due to a heart attack.
According to the police press office, the incident occurred last Sunday around 4:00 PM. Seventy-year-old Houshang Sadegh Vishgali suffered a heart attack while swimming in the sea.
The man was found in the water by other beachgoers, about ten meters from the shore. He was transported by ambulance to Famagusta State Hospital, but despite the doctors' best efforts, he could not be saved. He passed away about an hour and a half later, at approximately 5:30 PM.
An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was "heart disease, a heart attack, and circulatory failure," which led to respiratory failure.
