Two people killed in tractor accident in Northern Cyprus
A fatal accident occurred today around 13:30 on the road between Güvercinlik and Çayönü.
According to police, 68-year-old Süleyman Arcanlı was driving a tractor heading north. Near a stream bed, the driver lost control of the vehicle when the left rear wheel slipped toward a canal.
The tractor subsequently fell into the approximately two-meter-deep bed and overturned, coming to rest on its roof.
As a result of the accident, the driver, Süleyman Arcanlı (68), and a passenger in the tractor, Suzan Arcanlı (66), died at the scene.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
