In Northern Cyprus, imported tomatoes and apples with pesticides have been found
The Ministry of Agriculture of the TRNC has announced the results of the inspection of imported and domestic vegetables and fruits from April 5 to 18. During the analysis, exceeding the maximum level of plant protection substances was found in imported apples and tomatoes.
According to the department, in the analysis of 38 samples of imported products, excessive levels of plant protection substances were found in two samples.
Apples of the Granit variety were returned to the country of origin at the request of the company REE Cahide Kılıç. Tomatoes belonging to Non Foods were destroyed at the request of the manufacturer.
All 27 samples taken from domestic products were found to be clean.
