Applications for the Veteran Card continue in Northern Cyprus
The Ministry of Finance in Northern Cyprus has been accepting applications for the Veteran Card since July, according to an official statement from the ministry.
The right to the card is provided by the law on compensation and the determination of veterans’ rights: individuals who served as combatants, resistance members, or police officers between 1 August 1958 and 13 May 1977, as well as their spouses and children, are eligible for the card. Veterans receive a "Veteran Card," while spouses and children receive a "Veteran Family Member Card."
A special unit within the Ministry of Finance assists applicants, receives the necessary documents, and organizes the production and issuance of the cards.
To apply, applicants must first obtain a "Certificate of Military Status" from ASAL and the Mobilization Department. Once obtained, a copy of the ID and one passport-sized photo must be personally submitted to the Ministry of Finance Archive Department.
Completed cards can be collected in person by presenting an ID at the Ministry of Finance.
