A 14-year-old teenage driver died in a crash in Northern Cyprus
Another fatal traffic accident occurred last night in Northern Cyprus. A 14-year-old teenager without a driver's license got behind the wheel and died in the crash.
According to the police press service, the fatal accident happened around two o'clock in the morning on the old road from Güzelyurt to Lefke. 14-year-old Savash Erdem Soybal was driving from Güzelyurt to Aydınköy at an excessive speed. On a left turn, the teenager lost control and first crashed into a garden, then into the wall of a house. The young man died at the scene from the injuries sustained.
Police investigation of the accident is ongoing.
It is worth noting that this is the second fatal traffic accident of the previous evening. Earlier, it was reported that around 20:50 on the Tuzla - Mutluyaka highway, a driver hit two pedestrians. One of them died.
