Fire Safety Week kicks off in Northern Cyprus: parade and drills in Lefkoşa
The General Directorate of Police announced that Fire Safety Week in Northern Cyprus will take place from September 25 to October 1. The official opening will be held on September 25 in Lefkoşa with a parade and training activities.
The opening is scheduled for Thursday, September 25, from 18:00 to 19:00 on Mehmet Akif Street (Dereboyu) between Pronto Çemberi and the intersection at the Citroën traffic light. After the parade, firefighters will conduct a training operation to rescue a person trapped in a high-rise building.
The General Directorate of Police stated that Fire Safety Week is organized to raise public awareness about fires, teach firefighting methods, and provide information on preventive measures. The police invite everyone to participate in the parade and watch the training activities.
For residents, participation and observation of the events provide an opportunity to learn about preventive recommendations and the actions of emergency services during incidents.
