On Northern Cyprus, Dila Bilen Receives the Birkan Uzun Scholarship
On September 18, 2025, in the conference hall of the Ministry of National Education (Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı) in Northern Cyprus, the "Birkan Uzun Achievement Award" scholarship was awarded to the winner, Dila Bilen.
According to the ministry, Dila Bilen graduated from Türk Maarif Koleji with a GPA of 10.00 and was admitted to study physics in the Netherlands. The scholarship was established in memory of Birkan Uzun and is provided by Fırat İleri. The ceremony was attended by Minister Nazım Çavuşoğlu, the late Birkan’s father Cengiz Uzun, Fırat’s mother Filiz İleri, and the father of the awardee, İbrahim Bilen.
Birkan’s father, Cengiz Uzun, stated that the scholarship will be awarded annually to the most successful student studying abroad. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Filiz İleri presented the award to İbrahim Bilen on behalf of the İleri family. Minister Nazım Çavuşoğlu, in his speech, honored the memory of Birkan Uzun and emphasized the importance of supporting talented youth.
