Dust Warning Issued in Northern Cyprus for the First Time Since July
The TRNC Department of Meteorology has issued an emergency dust warning due to air pollution caused by dust particles. These fine particles are being carried to the region from North Africa. This is the first dust warning in the region since July.
According to meteorologists, the warning will be in effect from 3:00 PM today until 10:00 PM on Friday, September 13.
- “As dust particles from North Africa are expected to cause air pollution in our region, citizens who are sensitive to dust are advised to take precautions,” the department stated.
It’s important to note that the last dust warning in Northern Cyprus was issued in early July, when fine particles were also transported from North Africa.
