The number of Lions clubs and members has increased in Northern Cyprus
The Northern Cyprus Lions Federation D 135 reported significant growth within the international “Mission 1.5” initiative. As a result of the work carried out, the number of Lions clubs on the island has increased to 25, while the total number of members has approached 550.
According to the federation’s statement, four new clubs have recently been established:
- Gönyeli Darts Lions Kulübü
- Caterina Cornaro Lions Kulübü
- Lefkoşa Mucize Yaşam Lions Kulübü
- Nicosia The Great Inn Lions Kulübü
All necessary documents for the new clubs have already been submitted to the district administrations (kaymakamlıklar), and the legal registration procedures have been initiated.
The Chair of the Federation D 135, Fikret Şendil, emphasized that the organization’s growth is based on the principles of quality, inclusiveness, and sustainable service to society. According to him, nearly 550 members in two years is clear evidence that Lions ideas resonate strongly in Northern Cyprus.
It is also reported that work is underway to establish a new Lions club in the Karpaz region. Up-to-date information on the projects and activities of the clubs is available on the federation’s official website.
