In Northern Cyprus, "Green Schools" will hold 16 days of environmental activities
On November 25, the "16 Days of Activism" campaign began in Northern Cyprus. The Director of the Center for Environmental Studies at UFU, Professor Dr. Şerife Gündüz, announced that as part of the "Green Schools" initiative, daily environmental activities will be held for 16 days.
According to the organizers, the program includes waste reduction, planting seedlings, water conservation activities, clean-ups and nature walks, creative recycling workshops, rainwater collection awareness, and energy-saving practices.
Şerife Gündüz noted that women and children are among the groups most affected by environmental issues. She emphasized that a clean environment is a right to life for the entire society.
The daily activities aim to raise environmental awareness and draw attention to responsible resource use. The initiative will continue throughout all 16 days of the "16 Days of Activism" campaign.
