A storm is approaching Northern Cyprus: winds up to 74 km/h

The Meteorology Department has warned of a strong storm that will begin today at 12:00 and continue until midnight on Saturday.
According to the agency, on land the wind from the north and east will gradually intensify and reach 62–74 km/h, turning into a full storm.
In marine areas, the forecast is even more serious:
— in the Taurus region, wind intensification up to 8 on the Beaufort scale is expected;
— in the western Taurus, the wind will strengthen from the south and east, also reaching storm levels.
The meteorological service urges residents to exercise caution and follow forecast updates.
