Street Lighting Issue Near Irmar on the Nicosia-Güzelyurt Highway Resolved
Mayor of Gönyeli-Alayköy, Hüseyin Amcaoğlu, has announced that the long-standing street lighting issue near the Irmar supermarket on the Nicosia-Güzelyurt highway has been resolved. For a long time, drivers had to navigate the area in complete darkness at night, increasing the risk of accidents.
Amcaoğlu shared the update on social media, explaining that the decision to install street lighting was made following a meeting between the Department of Highways, Kıb-Tek, and municipal authorities. Thanks to this collaboration, the lighting issue near Irmar has now been successfully addressed.
"After the meeting, our municipal teams, under Kıb-Tek’s supervision, inspected each streetlight one by one to identify any faults. Following several days of intensive work, the issue was detected and resolved," the mayor stated.
He also emphasized that this cooperation will continue to address other street lighting problems along the Nicosia-Güzelyurt highway.
