Oil spilled on the Nicosia - Kyrenia highway
On Tuesday, the TRNC police issued a warning to drivers about slippery roads. Oil has spilled on the highway between Kyrenia and Nicosia.
According to the police press service, the road became slippery due to oil spillage from a vehicle onto the left lane of the two-lane road heading towards Kyrenia in the Ciklos Mevkii area.
The police clarified that sandblasting work was carried out by the municipality on this section of the main road.
However, the road still remains quite slippery - drivers using this route are asked to move slowly and cautiously.
