On the Pamuklu and Kumyali highway, a truck carrying barley overturned: the driver is injured
In the Karpas region, a truck carrying barley overturned, resulting in injuries to the driver, and traffic in the specified area was temporarily blocked.
According to the police press service, the accident occurred today around noon, at the first kilometer of the main road between Pamuklu and Kumyali.
The 51-year-old driver was heading towards Kumyali in a truck loaded with barley. Upon exiting the side road onto the main road, the vehicle overturned to the right side.
The driver, who sustained injuries in the accident, was taken to Famagusta State Hospital. His treatment is ongoing.
After the accident, the road between the intersections of Kumyali and Pamuklu was closed to traffic, as the overturned truck blocked the passage. Detour of the closed section was carried out through the village of Mehmetcik.
