New Minimum Wage in Northern Cyprus: 35,180 Turkish Lira
Northern Cyprus has set a new minimum wage. The updated wage will be 35,180 Turkish Lira net (take-home) and 40,436 Turkish Lira gross (before taxes).
This decision was announced by the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) following a meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission. As previously reported, the new minimum wage will be implemented starting September 1.
The minimum wage in Northern Cyprus was last adjusted at the end of May. At that time, the Commission increased it by 23.5% to 29,520 Turkish Lira.
