A New Week in the TRNC Kicks Off with Rain and Thunderstorms: Weather Forecast for September 23
According to the TRNC Meteorological Department, Monday, September 23, will bring low atmospheric pressure and cool, moist air in the upper levels. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies, with showers and thunderstorms. The central regions and the Karpasia peninsula are expected to receive the heaviest rainfall.
Temperatures will drop 2-3°C below the seasonal average, with most areas experiencing temperatures between 26-31°C.
Winds will be strong from the southwest, though no storms are expected in the region today.
Ultraviolet (UV) levels have decreased to moderate, so it's advisable not to stay in direct sunlight for more than 20 minutes. There is also a risk of wildfires due to dry conditions.
