Dates for new artillery drills near Nicosia announced
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced the dates for the upcoming artillery drills at the Beykoz training ground near Nicosia. The next military exercises will take place from December 11th to 20th and from January 8th to 16th.
The artillery drills will be conducted under the command of the 28th Artillery Regiment. During both maneuvers, firing exercises will occur daily from 08:30 to 17:00.
During the exercises, the following areas are declared restricted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs:
- Gekhan-Beykoz-Degirmenlik and Levent on the west line
- Enichkoy-Kalavach (1 km to the west)-Regional Directorate of Forestry Management on the east line
- Besparmak Mountains-Alevkaya Road-Forest Line of the Regional Directorate of Forestry Management on the north line
- Enichkoy-Kornaly Village-Beykoz on the south line.
Citizens are urged to avoid visiting the specified area until further notice from the command, as the search and destruction of projectiles that may have scattered in this area during the exercises will take some time.
