Operation “Western Shield” in Mevlevi: 2 kg of cannabis seized, 38-year-old detained
On December 2, in Mevlevi (Güzelyurt district) in Northern Cyprus, officers from the Directorate for Combating Drugs and Preventing Smuggling carried out Operation “Western Shield,” during which E. K., 38, was detained and 2 kg of a substance, presumed to be cannabis, was seized.
According to the police, a search was conducted at the suspect’s residence with the participation of service dog Pamir. The dog indicated the area where the substance was found, as well as electronic scales with traces presumably of narcotics. All items were seized as evidence.
The police reported that E. K. is detained and investigative actions are ongoing.
